Build one complete reference
A garment with a washed finish and decoration needs a shared target for the whole piece. Collect your fit reference, fabric details, artwork, thread or print colours and wash reference in one brief. Label the references clearly so the factory knows which features belong to your design.
Separate approvals can leave important questions unanswered. Ask to see the decoration and wash together on the intended fabric before confirming the finished appearance.
Agree on the sequence during development
Tell the factory which details must remain crisp and which areas are meant to look worn or uneven. Discuss the proposed production sequence and ask what needs a trial. There is no need to decide the sequence from a short workshop clip: use the trial sample to settle it for your style.
Keep the sample comments specific. If you want a softer contrast or a more visible graphic, identify the area in a marked photograph and keep the previous sample as a reference.
Check the garment after all finishing
Review the sample after the proposed washing and drying steps, with its decoration and trims in place. Use your agreed measurement sheet to check the finished size. Look at the graphic, stitches, seams and labels together.
- Compare the finished colour with the approved reference.
- Measure the finished garment at the agreed points.
- Check decoration edges, lettering and placement.
- Inspect trims and the reverse side for comfort.
- Record the sample version and any remaining changes.
Send a brief that connects the details
Share your design, fabric, wash direction, target quantity and deadline with YILI. We will discuss the sample requirements before confirming the project. The washing page and Craftsmanship showcase provide workshop context; your approved physical sample remains the reference for your own order.
